**PET FRIENDLY**Ĭampground 1 sites are closer together than campground 2 & 3’s. Price was great and you had an option to round up your cost to donate to the park. Online reservations for booking a campsite was easy. Overall we really enjoyed Cedars of Lebanon and we will definitely be back in the near future.įirst time camping here. There are deer everywhere and all kinds of other wildlife. Best advice- put it in the farthest corner near the door and if you have a trash bag put it over your stuff. The only issue is there is no curtain or partition to keep your clothes and toiletries bag from getting wet. There are showers on site and while they aren't perfect, the water gets nice and hot and they are spacious. For any grocery needs there is a very well stocked dollar general less than a mile up the road, and an Aldis not far away. There are several parks with swings, slides, and jungle gyms which was a big deal for my 4 year old. Firewood is easily accessible at the store and very affordable. It was the first weekend that the weather started getting really cool at night so we really enjoyed the campfire. We stayed in a camper in campsite 3 on one of the more private lots. We stayed here in early October with family and friends and it was a perfect long weekend. They have bathrooms right by the gift shop that were mostly clean. Anyone handicapped would have a hard time you with all the standing and steep stairs to go upstairs plus all the walking outside. I wouldn't suggest bringing any small children here because they will be bored and it will be a struggle keeping them from touching things. There's also a gift shop there where you buy your tour ticket. The cemetery has several signs with information about it. Right next door is the Confederate and McGavock family cemetery (including some of the slaves). Everything is maintained well and there are several signs explaining what things are. The ground was hilly and bumpy so I wouldn't recommend pushing a stroller on it. If you pay for the basic tour you can still walk the grounds to see the garden, slave house, smoke house, spring house etc by yourself. I missed most of the tour but one of the employees was really sweet and gave me a little booklet thing so I could read and look at pictures of what I missed. The tour guide was very informative, my parents said upstairs and downstairs was really neat. The rooms were beautiful and all period correct with actual belongings from the house loaned by family members. I only got to see two rooms before I had to leave and give the babies a snack. There were several other people there and I had to carry the babies because no strollers or anything are allowed in the house due to all the antique furniture and stuff in there. My parents and I went with my 11 month old twins for the basic tour. Something like a brat with pimento cheese, grilled onions and a seeded bun would bring people back. 3) add good, signature food items (even if 2-3) once everything opens up. I’d prefer to see 2 in the 170-195 range to balance, would make it more fun. 2) the par 3s from the tips don’t make sense. They definitely are in solid shape, just not best in area. Even if you have to raise prices, putting $$ into improved conditions will get the course to next level. Range/putting area are great, easy to access off first tee.Īs this is still a work in progress, a few suggestions: 1) fairway/rough off fairways are defiantly a tier down from Hermitage. Starter was nice and emphasized playing with a good pace. Pace of play was great, took us 4:30 with a 10:30am Saturday tee time. Greens are in great shape, bunkers are rock solid. A new clubhouse/restaurant/clubhouse concept is coming soon and it looks like it’ll be amazing. They are aiming to become a premier golf spot (similar to Hermitage), which is a huge need for public golf in middle Tennessee. New ownership has done a fabulous job improving the course. Don’t let the 3.4 fool you, this is a 4.3ish/5 currently.
